Mr. Edward Wortman
IPM Executive Director

Ed Wortman, Chief of Police, retired, served over 41 years in law enforcement, the last 8 as Chief of Police in Rockaway Beach. He now serves as Executive Director of International Police Museum in Rockaway Beach, Oregon.

During his career Ed worked in multiple areas and divisions of police work. He traveled and taught police classes in the US and internationally. During his career and travels he become an avid aficionado and collector of police history. His collection is the foundation of International Police Museum, and a small part of his collection is now on display, with more items making their debut almost daily.

Mr. Doug Tharp
IPM President, Volunteer Coordinator

A retired insurance executive, Doug has been on the Board since its beginning in September of 2015. He was originally elected the Board treasurer, but also serves as the museum’s volunteer coordinator. Doug and his wife Marlene are also very active in their church and other Rockaway Beach volunteer activities. Doug says he enjoys interacting with visitors to the museum, and sharing police history with them.

Mr. Craig Zuck
IPM Treasurer

Craig Zuck is the newest member of the IPM Board after enjoying his volunteer work at the museum. Craig and his wife, Barbara, also a volunteer, moved to Rockaway Beach permanently last year after vacationing in the area for the last 25 years. Craig attended business school at Oregon State University and retired recently from Portland General Electric after a 38 year career serving PGE’s Commercial/Industrial customers. When they are not volunteering, Craig and Barbara may be found on the water or on the beaches pursuing salmon, crab, clams and other coastal delicacies.

Ms. Jane Fagan McClain
IPM Secretary

Jane is trying to be retired after 30 years as a paralegal in Alaska and Oregon. She also owned and operated a destination Bed & Breakfast in Oregon for ten years, and enjoys interacting with tourists.

Jane has served as IPM Secretary and occasional toy tester since IPM's beginning in September of 2015. She lives in Damascus, OR, with her granddaughter Mia, their dog Diamond, and a few too many ducks. She has enjoyed watching the museum grow from it’s inception, as well as seeing visitor’s reactions as they discover historical treasures in the museum.

Ms. Cecile Doyle
IPM Board Member, Past IPM President

Cecile is a retired business owner with over 30 years of public service. She has served on the board at IPM since its beginning in Sept. of 2015. In addition to IPM, Cecile also enjoys volunteering at the Hope Chest, baking, reading, and spending time with her husband, Jim.

Ms. Rhonda Guerin
IPM Board Member

Rhonda Guerin, joined the Board of Directors in 2017. Rhonda brings her experience as a retired manager, having worked in both retail and fast food industry. Rhonda and her husband, also retired, like spending time with their grandchildren.

Rhonda likes helping young people to find the bears guarding the cases and to try on the various pieces of police uniform equipment. Her service is appreciated.

Mr. Herman Doty
IPM Board Member

Raised in southern Colorado, Herman Doty moved to Rockaway Beach Oregon in 2008 with his wife Angie. They opened Washed Ashore Arts, Crafts & More consignment store, and Ringing Anvil Design blacksmith shop in 2011. During his career Herman worked as an Engineering assistant at the General Motors Proving Grounds, and part time on a professional off road racing team. He is an accomplished artist, metal fabricator and author. Herman was honored to be accepted as the President of the Camp 18 Loggers Memorial and Museum in 2019. Herman and Angie have been supporters of IPM since its inception. IPM is excited to have Herman's talent and energy on the Board of Directors.
